Transforming business processes for OXG

In order to gain an edge in a highly competitive market and position itself for the future, OXG chose Nagarro as its implementation partner for the switch to the public cloud with SAP S/4HANA. A major challenge was the tight project timeline right from the start. A number of factors had to be ensured in order to meet the ‘go live’ date in November: the customer's flexibility, technical expertise at the crucial points, and a close exchange with the employees. The requirement was for an ERP solution that would enable a standardized yet flexible platform, allowing for a quick and straightforward implementation.

The modules Finance & Controlling for accounting, Sales & Distribution for sales, and Materials Management for purchasing were implemented and the latter was linked to the service provider that manages the warehouse. Some industry-specific configurations were necessary to implement the processes within the public cloud. With the SAP Activate methodology, SAP defined a standardized project methodology for the implementation. By applying this in a targeted manner, it was possible to adhere to the tight schedule. Nagarro also introduced the Invoice Scanner as an add-on.

With OXG’s first fully integrated invoice scanner, the time required to capture invoice data in SAP S/4HANA has reduced which has in turn sped up the processing of print and PDF invoices.

OXG turned out to be the perfect cloud customer. Although the processes of the joint venture founded in 2023 were not yet established, the attitude of being oriented towards the SAP standard was right and a lot was invested in change management. The ‘go live’ took place on time after six months. The openness to change, the willingness to part with old processes and the motivation among employees to go along with the change all contributed to the project's success. OXG is now benefiting from the scaling of business processes without losing clarity and efficiency.
