A non-profit organization working towards improving the quality of life for people and children affected by Crohn’s disease dealt with vast data points held in multiple disparate systems that had become increasingly challenging to understand and effectively leverage for driving several awareness and marketing initiatives. Their primary objective is to accelerate the research process through a variety of initiatives, and supporting various constituents such as patients, caregivers, and professionals through extensive educational and support resources. To facilitate these goals, they need to be actively involved in fundraising, advocacy campaigns, volunteer-driven educational programs, and more. This means they deal with managing vast data of various constituents stored in multiple disparate systems which makes it increasingly difficult to access, understand and leverage to the fullest.

Actively managing millions of constituents and even more data points held in multiple systems makes it difficult to connect the dots and understand the constituents as a whole. Over time, this data would become too complex, expensive, and dated for the client to provide satisfactory service to some of its key constituents (i.e., patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and donors). Moreover, the client realized that while constituent data is one core element of effective marketing, engagement, and fundraising, it was lacking the additional tools necessary to carry out these activities most effectively, especially with limited staff and resources.

In our quest to achieve the client’s objective, Nagarro’s team committed to a multi-year effort to migrate their disparately located systems and establish a  modern and sophisticated IT ecosystem.

This new ecosystem promises a host of new features all running on AWS cloud. The cloud environment serves as a data processing hub to support direct marketing and constituent engagement, integration, and data enhancement from third-party sources into a centralized data warehouse. Moreover, the solution allows analysis of the data to provide insights into constituent engagement and growth.
