A transformative user experience with the new Miles & More loyalty program app built using Flutter technology.

In a customer-centric and fast-evolving loyalty program landscape, it is imperative to capture feedback and innovate solutions while making them available quickly and at will. Miles & More, Europe's leading frequent flyer and award program with over 40 airline partners and more than 250 non-airline partners, recognized the opportunity to build quick, effective, and cost-efficient solutions for customers. But their existing set-up was limited in terms of scaling up with fast-changing customer preferences. Adding to that were the different backends required for the mobile application and the website to support a seamless customer experience. Nagarro embraced the challenge to migrate the Miles & More mobile application to hybrid cross-platform technology on time and within the budget.

To facilitate over 35 million customers to earn and redeem miles seamlessly, Miles & More needed to revamp their native mobile application. Some of the major challenges they faced included low release cycle frequency in introducing new features and high costs involved in development & maintenance.

Leveraging the Thinking Breakthroughs approach, we migrated to a new tech stack keeping the original essence of the application intact while successfully introducing several enhanced features such as enabling users to continue earning and spending miles while upgrading the login and mileage calculator. Developed on Flutter, the application has a single code across the iOS and Android platforms.

The solution implemented is expected to bolster the time-to-market to introduce enhanced features, optimize application maintenance and development costs, and ensure uniformity in the features, thereby guaranteeing a seamless user experience across iOS and Android platforms.
