Modernizing travel reimbursement process for Lindt with SAP Concur

For a long time, this type of accounting involved a great deal of administrative effort. Employees had to fill out long paper forms for the reimbursement of travel expenses, collect receipts, and finally send everything to their supervisor the traditional way in an envelope. After an initial check, the supervisor then forwarded the request to the HR and finance departments and waited for feedback before finally paying out the money.

For the modernization, Lindt & Sprüngli worked with Nagarro to introduce SAP Concur Expense as a new, digital billing platform. From the beginning, emphasis was placed on reducing processing times and making handling as intuitive as possible for employees. An interface to the HR department was also set up for more efficient processing. Parallel to the rollout of the new software, the project team created detailed documentation for employees.

Thanks to SAP Concur Expense and the customizations, Lindt & Sprüngli in Germany now has a modern and fast way of accounting for travel expenses. Paperwork and analog archives have been eliminated. Most importantly, processing time has been reduced by at least two weeks. Following the successful rollout in Germany, Lindt & Sprüngli is now planning to establish the new solution in other companies as well.

Most employees were able to cope with it immediately. For some employees, the changeover is certainly unfamiliar nevertheless, I am convinced that this learning process will ultimately succeed for everyone. After all, the benefits of digitization are clearly visible to everyone billing is much easier today.
