Streamlining asset and access tracking with Jira Service Management

A success story of a comprehensive ITSM Solution with ITAM & CMDB
the challenge
The customer faced significant challenges in efficiently tracking and managing its IT assets, resulting in inefficiencies and errors. Manual tracking processes were time-consuming and error-prone, impeding the organization's ability to locate assets, manage their lifecycle, and track changes effectively. These challenges contributed to financial overruns, further emphasizing the need for an enhanced asset management solution.
the solution

Nagarro implemented a comprehensive IT Service Management solution with Asset Management and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) system, integrated with SCCM, AWS, Insight Discovery, Active Directory, and home-built applications. This solution provided a centralized platform for tracking assets, simplifying asset management processes, and improving visibility into asset locations and status.

While the customer portal was auto-updated and self-generating, Nagarro handheld customer through the process changes and utilized ScriptRunner REST endpoints for certain complex and critical key use cases.

the outcome
The successful implementation of the ITAM & CMDB enabled the organization to streamline its asset tracking processes and optimize efficiency via a fully automated CI update/addition. This enhancement elevated its IT service delivery capabilities and significantly reduced downtime. The Improved Change Management led to an efficient change process, effectively managing the cost of change. Furthermore, it provides a unified view of employees and assets with customization level of details. Another key outcome was improved consolidated view of info related to AWS hosting expenses at the organizational level, facilitating better cost management.
