Intelligent sales visit planning for Ritter Sport

Optimizing sales tours and increasing team efficiency through maiTour, Nagarro’s SAP Sales Cloud add-on


As the business was continuously growing, Ritter Sport’s old system was increasingly reaching its limits regarding dynamic planning. The need for upgrades led to comprehensive research and a thorough comparison of providers. Ultimately, the company was able to zero in on the maiTour SAP Sales Cloud add-on by Nagarro as it fully aligned with Ritter’s requirements. A key factor in choosing maiTour was the seamless integration of the add-on with SAP Sales Cloud, allowing for smooth data exchange and up-to-date data at all times. 


By implementing maiTour, the digital engineering expert Nagarro provided an add-on for the SAP Sales Cloud that enabled intelligent visit planning for Ritter Sport. maiTour optimized Ritter Sport’s sales travel routes, considering all existing appointments and automatically syncing them with the Sales Cloud calendar. 


As an additional feature, Nagarro developed a tool for maiTour that allows Ritter to process data for short, non-standardized visits in batches. This way, visit times for multiple small customers can be adjusted simultaneously without editing them individually in the system. 


The combination of maiTour and the intelligent planning model allows the company to conduct short-term promotional campaigns without disrupting long-term planning. Optimized route planning also contributes to greater sustainability.


Overall, the solution provides Ritter with a future-ready IT infrastructure for its sales team and a solid foundation for further improvement of sales processes. The company is already planning additional steps, such as introducing the Perfect Store Score for the Sales Cloud to fine-tune better visit planning for customers. This customer evaluation is typically more complex than simple KPI management.
