Harnessing data to build a data-centric organization

Our client is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of lumber and wood products. They have several manufacturing plants and distribution centers offering multiple SKUs. The client initially relied on tacit information and knowledge to make key decisions across business functions such as sales, accounting, manufacturing, distribution, human resource, and more. The system for recording data and reporting was based on excel based reports and had several limitations and inefficiencies. Further, this system supported limited visualization and analytical capabilities. Our client wanted to embark on a digital transformation journey to enable data-driven decisions across the organization by improving data availability and accessibility across roles and business functions. Further, the client partnered with Nagarro to help them with multiple business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and machine learning initiatives. Their goal was to leverage data and visualizations for faster decisions and improved insights by adopting prescriptive and predictive analytics.
