the challenge
The existing app architecture was out-of-date and plagued by bugs, memory leaks, and frequent crashes. As a result, the app users reported having a less-than-desired experience.

the solution

Nagarro introduced new features, concepts, architecture layers, integration, and high-quality software, making the app user-friendly for tourists. We also implemented a CI/CD pipeline, ensuring a faster time-to-market for all additional features.

Some of the highlights of our engagement are:

  • We developed a native app for Android and iOS which acts as a digital city guide for tourists.
  • Based on a tourist's interests, the app personalizes the itinerary offering multiple areas of interest to choose from.
  • The app also shows well-known sights, key information, and insider tips about Vienna to the tourists helping them enjoy an authentic local experience.
  • It accompanies walks to museums, modern architecture, and sonorous places as a digital service with an audio guide.
  • Tips are suggested based on the geo-location and interests, matched to the current position to provide the best event/places/experiences happening nearby.
  • The app also allows saving favorite places of interest by tourists to come to later as their discoveries.
