A centralized data hub enabling data transparency, governance, and reporting

The client sought a data platform to support all its data integration needs. Each business domain has its applications leading to many independent data sets across the organization. The client wishes to bring these data sets into the central warehouse and make real-time IoT data available. Syncing different transport units spread across countries to the central data hub further complicated the integration.
There was a need for the solution’s key architecture to provide an integration layer to integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring the integration of IoT data in a meaningful manner with structured data, BI reports, and dashboards. The solution also needed to maintain data quality and governance across products and entities. The client also required data governance, maintaining access control, and the ability to provide relevant authorization.

Nagarro acted as a consulting and technology implementation partner. We consulted the client in choosing AWS - the right cloud solution - and provided support during its implementation, deployment, and final production. The implementation included swift delivery and a tangible data asset that helped the client adopt a cloud-first approach while effectively serving business data needs. Nagarro supported the client in a smooth transition from a legacy business intelligence tool to a modern BI platform, Amazon Quicksight, enabling data source compatibility, scalability, and flexibility.

The implementation helped the client save on the licensing costs by replacing the existing solution with a Platform as a Service (Paas) solution. This led to a decreased cost of ownership and increased confidence among the users. A centralized governance portal ensured data and security compliance. The client now has a single source of truth for analytics data. 
Nagarro conceptualized and delivered the entire project in much less time than the industry peers. Additionally, the project was executed at less than the initial estimated cost, leading to further saving for the client.
