The client required a scalable, centralized platform for ingesting and analyzing high-frequency operational data across the plant. All stakeholders across the globe would use this platform for developing use cases. The first usage of this platform was for tracking and improving the Sustainability Index, with the goal of optimizing energy consumption and aligning plant level ESG goals.

Nagarro helped the client align the business goals to the requirements of data platform, using its proprietary Platform Selection Kit. Databricks was selected as the unified platform for Azure-native integration, batch and real-time processing, governance, and scalability. To fast-track platform adoption Nagarro deployed its Databricks Starter Kit to upskill the client’s analytics teams.

 

Thereafter, Thinking Breakthroughs Workshop format was used to co-ideate and prioritize use cases. During this workshop Nagarro’s EvOLVE framework was used to detail out the use case on Energy Consumption Monitoring & Optimization.

 

To validate feasibility, Nagarro integrated C-IoTA suite of IoT accelerators with Databricks for secure streaming from 25+ energy meters. Data was enriched and visualized using Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and Power BI.

The solution created new visibility across multiple KPIs targeting energy and machine-level trends which provided real-time and historical data visibility into operations. Delivered in just four months using an agile methodology, the initiative included targeted training for the client’s analytics teams, strengthened governance with Databricks-native tools like Unity Catalog, and established a scalable, future-ready foundation for deploying energy intelligence solutions across the enterprise.
