Our customer, NORDEN, is one of the world's oldest shipping companies. With around 150-year history and offices in 11 countries across six continents, they are a leading international player in the dry cargo and product tanker markets.

NORDEN has a mine of data that they can leverage. The company has the vision of making the right decisions for customers, shareholders, employees, and the environment, with agility and speed. They are on a journey of converting the operational raw data into business-critical information. NORDEN has collaborated with Nagarro to operate the enterprise data warehouse and jointly develop a new data platform.

The outcomes are better critical business decisions by the senior management, a high level of customer satisfaction, and an enhanced reputation from the continuous delivery of quality services.

NORDEN has embarked on a business strategy that involves putting data and advanced analytics at the heart of decision-making.
NORDEN had a data warehouse solution which consolidated data related to voyage details and profit and loss from various data sources.
Daily jobs to extract data from source systems used to fail frequently around 2 AM, which caused their existing team to focus on fixing the issues the entire day. Reports generation for senior management consumption was often delayed.

Nagarro operates the client’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and is jointly developing and architecting the new data foundation platform.
We are engaged with the client on the maintenance of their data warehouse, which contains data around the following entities:
- Voyage profit & loss: ship consumption, port distribution, profit centers, calendars, commodities, load and discharges.
- Outstanding: vendor & customer transactions, ledger entries, paid amount, remaining amount, settlements.

Data migration from on-premises to Azure Cloud.
