Consolidating Leonhart’s information system with SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP

After several decades of rapid growth, the Leonhart Group was faced with the problem of the homogeneity of its information system. The sites used different tools, and data consolidation was complex. In 2020, Leonhart decided to standardize and modernize its IS, to enhance data quality, take advantage of business intelligence, and benefit from new technologies. Nagarro's teams provided full support, deploying a solution built around SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition.

Nagarro covered all the existing processes and requirements by implementing the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Essential solution. Extraction, trading, finance, controlling, warehousing, and production are fully covered by the publisher's standards and Fit2 Standard implementation methodology.

The only exception was a vertical business requirement for the management of weighbridges in sandpits. Our team at Nagarro developed an innovative solution tailored to our customer's needs, as an extension to the SAP S/4HANA solution. This solution integrates visual recognition of the license plate of incoming trucks via IoT (whatever their nationality is), then automatically uploads and implements the information in the ERP system.

Having taken the first step with the deployment of a standard, reliable, and scalable ERP, the Leonhart Group wants to go further and enter ‘Industry 4.0’. Nagarro will be accompanying Leonhart in its innovation projects over the coming years.
