Business model transformation is never easy, but it can lead to increased growth and revenue when done right. Our client is a one-billion-dollar SAAS company in the non-profit sector that provides a total cloud accounting solution designed to meet non-profits and government entities' unique needs. They aimed to transform their business model from a license-based on-premises application to a SAAS-based subscription model. Nagarro engaged as a strategic product engineering partner and helped build their cloud-native application platform that offers several SAAS-based applications to their customers.

The complex design of applications needed an optimized solution to ensure real-time secure financial data right to their fingertips—anytime, anywhere, and from any device—because the mission doesn’t stop when they leave the office.

As a part of the transformation journey, Nagarro developed a multi-tenant cloud platform on Microsoft Azure using microservices architecture integrated with open REST APIs over secure HTTPS. We also co-created the design system and UX frameworks to make reusable and consistent front-end components for the engineering team, empowering them to continue to augment the offering. We integrated the code and deployed releases with fully automated CI/CD pipelines and zero-downtime deployment using Azure DevOps.

Our engineering helped the client to onboard 5000+ tenants on the robust and secure platform. The reusable components helped reduce technical debt and improved the operational efficiency of engineering teams. The mature DevOps practices improved releases cycles significantly with the new code deployed every two weeks.
