How this FMCG conglomerate turned data into insights

A centralized data platform built on Snowflake Data Cloud

The customer has multiple entities, with their applications and ERPs leading to many independent datasets across the group. They sought a centralized solution to consolidate these independent data sets and ensure data consistency. The solution would also help maintain data quality across products and entities, generating insights at the group level.


Nagarro built a cloud-based centralized data analytics platform using Snowflake and Azure. It enabled data ingestion from various group ERP systems and offered group-level insights. The solution enabled implementation of tools like replacement cost simulator, purchase cost simulator, track & trace, and procurement benchmarking by making the consolidated sales data, planning data, and market data available, which was required for calculating the KPIs in these tools. After the implementation, we supported the client by training the users and onboarding them to the new platform, and helped them gain insights from the new tools.


The centralized solution delivered actionable insights at the group level and established a single source of truth for data analytics. It helped them track the data gaps and improve the data quality in the system ensuring increased data accuracy and value of the insights. The different tools further helped the client improve the quality of their products and services through operational efficiency, helping them save up to 1500 hours of operational effort. For instance, the track & trace system helped the customers keep an eye on the rapidly changing market prices, track their shipments in near-real time, and make the appropriate business decisions.
