Foundation Level

RE@Agile Advanced Level
IREB CPRE Foundation Level

This seminar is the foundation level module of the education program for the Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE). It is both a stand alone foundation training as well as a pre-requisite for the advanced certification of this program. The course provides detailed knowledge about the methods and techniques for elicitation, analysis, definition and management of requirements and corresponds to the official IREB® syllabus.

Goal

This course prepares you for the IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering Foundation Level certification exam.

RE@Agile Primer

In this seminar, you will learn how to make the most of the synergy between requirements engineering and agility. This course is based on the official syllabus of the IREB certificate "RE@Agile Primer".

RE@Agile Advanced Level

In this seminar, you will learn how to apply the methods, techniques and practices of requirements engineering (as defined by IREB CPRE) in agile projects.

Contents

  • Pre-requisites for successful system development: Know the vision and goals of the system to be developed, manage the stakeholders and define the system scope appropriately.
  • Backlog management in agile projects.
  • Product owner in RE.
  • Dealing with functional requirements, quality requirements and constraints in agile projects; in particular the decomposition of user stories.
  • Prioritizing and estimating requirements based on business value, risks and dependencies in agile teams.
  • Scaling requirements engineering in larger as well as distributed teams.

You are able to combine methods from requirements engineering and agile approaches and competently combine the best of both worlds. You know the background, motivation and techniques for carrying out requirements engineering effectively in an agile environment. You are optimally prepared for the IREB certification exam RE@Agile Advanced Level.
