Sharing our success story with peers
By Vishal Gauri (15) on August 5th, 2011

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to present at event hosted by the German State of Hessen and its FrankfurtRhineMain region in cooperation with the German Consulate and the German American Business Association at the Marriott in San Francisco. I shared Nagarro’s experience working in Europe, and the ups and downs in our successful journey as we have grown in Europe over the last decade.

Vishal speaking2

The attendees were business leaders from the local community, several of whom were looking to expand their operations into Germany and other parts of western Europe. The presentation was well received, and has been reported on their website here. As we enter the next phase of our growth, we continue look for the support of our customers and team members to continue our expansion in Germany and in the rest of Europe.

The workplace revolution will not be televised – but it may be on TelePresence
By Vishal Gauri (15) on March 7th, 2011

This month’s issue of CNBC Business Magazine features Nagarro and customer AmSurg in two articles showcasing best practices in managing a distributed workplace.

In an in-depth article titled “The Human Cloud,” reporter Colin Brown explores how workers of all ages are embracing fluid work environments, social tools, crowd-sourcing and other shifts in traditional business boundaries.  As a company whose success is based on a flourishing virtual workforce, Nagarro can attest to the importance of cultivating the “human cloud.”

Sources for this article state that in the U.S., an estimated 40% of all jobs today could be done at home — yet only 7% of companies currently entrust their data and software needs to third-party cloud platforms. Obviously a lot more companies will have to get comfortable with adapting to new workplace models, but all signs indicate that this is the direction of the future. The workplace revolution is underway, and employers will need to embrace these shifts in order to attract and retain the best talent.

Nagarro customer AmSurg, also featured in this issue of CNBC Business, is a great example of a company building a thriving business based on a distributed workforce. In partnership with Nagarro, AmSurg is using collaborative technologies as well as traditional communication channels to keep its network of healthcare providers up to date on industry best practices and drive operational performance.

AmSurg shares Nagarro’s belief that the key to working successfully across geographies and time zones is flexibility. Whether it’s a mobile phone, TelePresence , accessing data via the cloud or hopping on a plane for a good old-fashioned face-to-face meeting, opportunities for collaboration are sprouting up all around us. And as more and more businesses see the value of the human cloud, all of us – not just outsourcing firms – will benefit.

Building on Nagarro’s record-breaking growth in 2010
By Vishal Gauri (15) on January 31st, 2011

2010 was a pivotal year here at Nagarro. We brought on more new global enterprise customer accounts worldwide than in the previous three years combined. Meanwhile, our existing enterprise customer base nearly doubled its investments in high-end strategic software development projects, especially around custom analytics.

In Europe, we doubled our sales over 2009’s totals. And our new sales office in Mexico is booming with a new sales director and two new major enterprise customers. Finally, we signed on more than two dozen new small and midsize customers in five countries, and brought on hundreds of new engineering employees to support the growing demand for our services.

As we forge into 2011, Nagarro’s focus will be on continuing to add banner accounts to our customer roster, while expanding Nagarro’s value across more areas within our existing customers’ businesses.

To all of Nagarro’s customers, partners, employees and friends – thank you for choosing Nagarro, and here’s to more great things to come in 2011!

Global Services 100 Appreciates Nagarro. And We Really Appreciate It.
By Vishal Gauri (15) on August 24th, 2010

As recent news about JetBlue demonstrates, it’s always nice to feel appreciated. Ironically, I just returned home from a vacation during which my family and I were subjected to some of the worst airline customer service I can recall in my lifetime (the airline shall remain unnamed).

The Verdict is In – Nagarro Custom Judging Software Found Green as Charged
By Vishal Gauri (15) on June 1st, 2010

A few months ago we mentioned the Moody’s Mega Math Challenge, organized by Nagarro customer SIAM (the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics). This week we are pleased to report that, for the first time ever, the judging process for the contest has gone paperless thanks to custom software built by Nagarro. The new software allowed seven teams of judges to view hundreds of detailed submissions online – securely, remotely and at their own convenience – thus eliminating printing, mailing and redistribution of printed hard copies.

Nagarro is proud to partner with SIAM to develop paperless systems as an eco-friendly alternative to manual processes. To learn more about how Nagarro’s custom software development services can help your company’s business goals, please contact us at info@nagarro.com.

“Customer Facing Innovation” – a View from the Midsize Enterprise Summit
By Vishal Gauri (15) on September 14th, 2009

As we interact with CIOs of midsize companies at the MES show, there are several common themes that come out in the conversations. While cost-cutting has been the overwhelming focus of IT organizations in the last year, there seems to be a change in objectives going forward. More CIOs seem to be focused on ways to increase business revenues, rather than containing costs. The projects that are being funded are the ones that involve customer facing solutions, challenging IT to provide innovation that is targeted at end customers, rather than internal business users.

A number of companies have had positive experiences with server virtualization over the last couple of years, and are looking to take the next step – virtualizing their desktop systems. Cloud computing, especially storage is finding increased traction in the midsize organizations, as they look to improve business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Another trend seems to be the increased focus on building relationships with external service companies in this market segment, as IT executives seek to do more with less.

By Vishal Gauri (15) on May 26th, 2009

For months we’ve been saying that despite the recession, innovation is alive and well. Last week we spent two days at TiECon 2009, where our opinion was validated by entrepreneurs of promising startups as well as recognized business leaders. The buzz this year is that there are still plenty of interesting, innovative startups poised for success – as others have noted.

Getting the most out of custom applications during the downturn
By Vishal Gauri (15) on April 23rd, 2009

monitorsLast week Manufacturing Business Technology published Nagarro’s top “Dos and Don’ts” for custom application development. Our customers in manufacturing as well as other markets continue to prove that downturn is a perfect opportunity to revamp IT strategy for competitive advantage. As companies look to evolve to a ‘smarter’ IT strategy, smaller, inexpensive, made-to-fit custom applications offer a great way to build lasting competitive advantage.
