Last week I attended the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s event celebrating the “40 Under 40” list for 2011. In addition to getting a sneak peek at plans for the 49ers new stadium, it was great to meet face to face with my fellow entrepreneurs from this year’s list. I am continually inspired and motivated by the quality and quantity of innovation taking place right here in our own backyard, and it’s a genuine honor to be included among this group.
Among others, had an interesting conversation with Rob Nail, associate founder & CEO, Singularity University. Rob’s background combines an interesting mix of medical research with robotics and the work that they are doing at Singularity University is extremely impressive, to say the least – putting some of the smartest minds together to leverage the power of exponential advancement in technologies to solve humanity’s biggest challenges. In a way, a think tank group to influence the direction of innovation…now that’s innovative!
